Lightning, the two-toed sloth, is expecting her first-baby at Cincinnati Zoo
They are so ugly it makes them adorable. Amazing how God has created/ so many different and wonderful creatures.
For the first time ever, the Cincinnati Zoo is expecting the birth of a sloth baby.- Lightning, the 8-year-old mother is set to make history.
Cincinnati Zoo‘s cannot wait to welcome the young one into their little family.
We are so excited that Lightning is pregnant! Lightning’s ultra-sound showed a healthy sloth in her belly. Moreover, the team will continue to monitor the sloth for any updates.
Swanson said: We are always cautiously optimistic with first-time moms, but we are fairly confident that Lightning’s assertive personality will lend well to being a first-time mom.
“She will do most of the work once the baby is born.” It will latch on to her and stay attached for the next: 10-12 months.
Let’s hope Lightning has a healthy pregnancy without, any major difficulties!
It could be a slow pregnancy, hope all goes well.
She looks to be so sweet – Good mama.
It’s fun to look at them but they would love being in their own home!
Congratulations Miss Lightning!
That’s probably going to be the longest birth ever! They’re so slow.
