A family in Washington County was surprised when their dog brought home a tiny bear cub. The baby animal, which weighed only 540 grams – was found dehydrated, and with no sign of it’s mother.
The bear cub was immediately transported to the: Virginia Wildlife Center. There, the rehabilitation team immediately placed it in an incubator and began the process of feeding it. “This has been a great example of teamwork in: providing for a wild animal,) said Amanda Nicholson, outreach director for the Wildlife Center.
